TURNER — Chloe Veilleux of Turner, a senior at Leavitt Area High School, has been selected to receive the 2018 Principal’s Award. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
“Chloe has consistently demonstrated her ability to face and overcome challenges both in and out of the classroom,” said LAHS Principal Eben Shaw.
“In addition to her challenging academic course load, she is an active member of the NHS, a student representative to the school board and president of the Junior Classical League, an organization representing Latin clubs across the state,” Shaw said.
“Chloe is a dedicated student and member of our school community and serves as a role model for her peers,” Shaw said.
Chloe, Shaw and other award winners and their principals will attend the Honors Luncheon in Bangor on Saturday, April 7.
The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals and the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine’s school administrators.
