LEWISTON — Robert L. Austin, 82, passed away Wednesday, April 4, at d’Youville Pavilion.
He was born in Norway on Aug. 2, 1935, to Carl L. and Ruth E. (White) Austin. Robert worked for the city of Auburn Highway Department for more than 20 years and from which he retired. He also worked for Norway Public Works. He enjoyed NASCAR, races and traveling. He loved his dogs Cooper and Willow.
Robert is survived by his son, Rob, and wife, Amy, of Poland; daughter, Michelle Gary, and husband, Matt; stepson, Leon Kimball; stepdaughter, Donna Bissonette; two sisters Doris and Mavis; grandchildren Cora Lee Dill and husband, Kaleb, Susie, Matt, Kyle and Isiah; great-grandchildren Zayden, Kimber-Jean, Lincoln and Jace.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Judith, and his second wife, Sandra.
