BRUNSWICK — Jacqueline B. Landry, 87, of Lisbon Falls, passed away Wednesday, April 4, at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
She was born in Augusta on Dec. 16, 1930, the only child of the late George and Florence (Gaynor) Martin. She attended school in Hinckley until moving to Freeport, where she attended Freeport High School and graduated in the Class of 1949.
She married Emery Landry in Freeport, and moved to Lisbon Falls, where they lived until 1954. At that time they moved to Florida to manage the family business. In 1960, they returned to Lisbon Falls, where Jackie went to work at Worumbo Mill as a weaver before being promoted to working in the office.
After leaving the mill, she went to work at Aubuchon Hardware for a short time and then went to work at L.L. Bean for 11 years, before retiring. With her great sense of humor and quick comebacks, Jackie made friends easily.
She enjoyed going on cruises, doing crafts, knitting and playing bingo. Most of all, she enjoyed the time spent with her ever-growing family.
Jacqueline is survived by Linda Fidler and husband, Gordon, of Palm Desert, Calif., Arthur Landry and wife, Geraldine, of Lisbon Falls, and Carol Demers and partner, Ken Johnson, of Yarmouth/Rangeley; three grandchildren, Kim, Ricky and Emery (Randy); seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Emery, who passed away in 1986.
