PERU — A Rumford woman suffered serious injuries Monday afternoon when her minivan collided with a parked dump truck on Route 108, about two miles south of the Peru Main Street intersection, according to Oxford County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Aylward.

Leah Blouin, 49, was driving west on Route 108 when she crossed into the eastbound lane, striking the dump truck, which was empty and parked in a driveway, Aylward said.

The force of the collision caused the truck to hit another empty vehicle in front of it in the same driveway.

Blouin, the only occupant of the vehicles involved, was taken by by Med Care to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewsiton, Aylward said.

He said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
