AUBURN — Mark R. Sedgeley died Thursday, April 19, at the Hospice House from a long battle with lung cancer with family and friends by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on Dec. 31, 1960, the son of Richard R. and Theresa (Bosse) Sedgeley.

Mark graduated from Lewiston High School in 1979 and attended the Rhode Island School of Photography where he was in the top 10 percent of his class. Mark continued to pursue his love of photography throughout the years and had many works displayed in public and private buildings in the Lewiston-Auburn area.

He is survived by his brothers Arthur (Skip) and wife Lia Sedgeley of Littleton, Colo.; and brother Brian and wife Maryanne of Whitestown, Ind., and his sister, Ann Caron and husband, Ralph of Sabattus.

Mark was predeceased by his parents.

The family would like to thank Melanie Sparks-Ide, Marie Paris and the entire staff of 306 Pine Street for the many years of loving care given to Mark. Special thank-you to hospice nurse Lori Pelletier and Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.
