LEWISTON — Maine Event Comedy presents the hilarious and multi-talented Ben Quick at Baxter Brewing, Friday, May 4, at 7 p.m. He’ll be joined by Sarah Blodgett, Rasheed Townes and Michele Mortensen.

Combining a wide array of comedic chops which translate seamlessly into his singing, songwriting and guitar playing, Quick’s energetic presence is as undeniable as it is uncompromising. The Boston native was recently featured in San Francisco’s Mutiny Radio Comedy Festival, and was a comic-in-residence selection at the world famous Comedy Studio. He is a co-producer of Comedy Party, which presents five different shows throughout Boston.

Blodgett has appeared on the Today Show, Inside Edition, and Pulse Magazine. Her writing has been published in Reader’s Digest and the award-winning Mug of Woe series. She also competed as the only stand-up comic in the 2006 Miss Massachusetts Pageant.

Townes has been performing and writing comedy since his days as a Harvard student. His material pulls from pop culture and his experience as a stay-at-home dad. He’s a familiar face at the Comedy Studio, Laugh Boston and ImprovBoston.

An accomplished actress, writer, and musician, Mortensen hails from Hampton, New Hampshire and recently competed in New York City’s “She-Devil Comedy Festival.” She was twice selected to perform in the World Series of Comedy and has opened for Boston legend Lenny Clarke.

The show is free and for ages 21 and older. Baxter Brewing is located at 130 Mill St. FMI call 207-513-0742 or email maineeventcomedy@gmail.com.
