FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced its Pets of the Week.

Dog of the Week Bill Murray is a 1½-year-old male German Shepherd mix. He would make an excellent emotional support animal for the right owner, according to shelter staff. He is possessive of his owner with other animals, so he needs to be the only animal in the home. He has excellent leash manners, and staff members consider him very smart. He is a playful and interactive boy who knows basic commands, and he is snugly and sweet.

Cat of the Week Pan is a 1- to 3-year-old male cat. Shelter staff say he is a sweet and laid-back kitty.

Bill Murray, Pan and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims. The shelter also rehomes barn cats, livestock and other pets.
