GREENE — Darla Ann Allen (Dearborn), 54, of Greene, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 5, at her home.
Darla was born in Presque Isle on May 1, 1964, the daughter of the late Onal Dearborn and Judith Marek (Crouse). Darla attended Lewiston High School and later got her GED.
Darla met the love of her life, Kenneth “Kenny” Allen, in 1994; they married Sept. 1, 1995. They spent their 24 years of love caring for each other and their family, and building a marriage everyone looked up to.
Darla was a devoted wife, mother, grammy and friend. She spent her days caring for her grandchildren, gardening and taking care of her home, of which she was so proud. Darla loved cooking comfort foods, trips to Old Orchard Beach, spending time with family and her dog, Mr. Tibbs.
Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her was graced by her smile that would light up the room. She was a shoulder to lean on to so many, she was always willing to help and give the best advice. Her friends and family meant everything to her.
She was predeceased by her grandmother, Evelyn “Peggy” Kingsbury.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Allen; her children, Jason Parent (Sarah), Leann (Dan) Beaulieu, Aisha Allen; her grandchildren, Shamika, Shawn, Shyann, Maddox, Serenity, Amira, Pheonix and Elliana; her sister, Denice (Nelson) Cooper; her brothers, Wayne (Claudia) Dearborn, Dale Dearborn and Robert J. Marek; her nieces, Autumn, Desiree, Megan and Tatiana; and her nephews, Guy, Jordan, Derek, Andrew, Uriah and Samuel.
