FRYEBURG — The Saco Valley Beef, Sheep and Dairy annual take-a-chance ticket auction will take place Saturday, May 12, at the Fryeburg Fairground in the Natural Resource Building.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and tickets will be drawn at 6:30 p.m. There will be a dollar table and food booth.

HARTFORD — A plant sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the J & O Irish Museum, Route 140.

Perennials will be $3 each; shrubs, $5. There will be garden related raffle items, drinks and desserts inside the museum.

LEWISTON — Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends will have a Mother’s Day bake sale and bottle drive from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 12 and 13, in front of Chapter 11, 707 Main St.

Proceeds will go a long way to help continue to save the lives of the forgotten feral cats of the colonies. After a harsh winter and struggle to obtain financial resources for medical care, the organization is more than ever in need of funds to help rebuild the cat’s colonies.

LEWISTON — Market Day will showcase the talents of local craft makers, artisans and growers.


The farmers’ market will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at 1619 Lisbon St.

LISBON FALLS — Lisbon United Methodist Church, 14 School St., will hold its annual spring plants and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12. Select from an assortment of potted plants for a personalized gift.

This year, the selection of annual flowers, vegetables and perennials will include flowering shrubs and fruit trees from local nurseries. Plants will be supplied by local gardeners.

There will be homemade pies, cakes or other baked goods at the bake sale. Knives and cutlery will also be on sale.

The annual event raises money to support local and regional organizations. The sale will be held rain or shine.

NORWAY — A Mother’s Day Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the American Legion Hall, 82 Main St.

There will be 20 local crafters and vendors, a food and bake sale and a Chinese auction to benefit the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Project Graduation.


PARIS — A perennial plant sale will be held from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, across from the Oxford Hills High School in the Rent-A-Center parking lot. Proceeds will benefit the Rock House Teen Center in Oxford.

WILTON — The Tyngtown Club will hold its annual plant sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 12, at the Wilton Lion’s Club Building (former American Legion), 864 Main St.

There will be flower and vegetable seedlings, locally dug perennials and herbs and hard-to-find specialty plants. There will also be refreshments and a bake sale.

All proceeds from the sale will be used to support the Wilton Free Public Library and the Wilton Early Childhood Center.

CHESTERVILLE — The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers will sponsor a benefit bake sale at noon Tuesday, May 15, when the polls open at the Chesterville Town Office.

The sale will continue until the food runs out. All proceeds will go to the Chesterville Town Office Kitchen Fund.
