LEWISTON — Patricia (Butler) Records, 89, of 74 Lake Auburn Ave. died Sunday, May 6, at CMMC in Lewiston.

She was born in Auburn on May 27, 1928, the daughter of William and Cornelia (Johnson) Butler. She was educated in Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School in 1946.

Pat was married to Erland Arthur Records in 1947 and was a homemaker for many years. She worked for the J.C. Penney Co. for 28 years, retiring in 1992.

She enjoyed doing anything out of doors, gardening, family gatherings, traveling around Maine, cruising Penobscot Bay on the windjammer Roseway and spending time at just about any place on the Maine coast. She and Arthur enjoyed many happy years of square dancing, making many friends as they do-si-doed across the state. After retirement she was a volunteer at the Central Maine Medical Center for 20 years.

She was a member of the East Auburn Baptist Church for 52 years and served her Lord in many ways there — as a Sunday school teacher, deaconess, and as a participant in various musical activities. She especially enjoyed singing in the choir as well as fellowshipping with her church family. She gave her time, energy and resources to help the church in the construction of two new church homes. She was a member of the first Auburn Senior Citizens and participated weekly with the Lewiston Seniors, where she especially enjoyed playing her favorite game of cribbage.

Pat leaves five children: Jolene Bouchard of Old Orchard, Christopher Records and wife, Elizabeth, of Laconia, N.H., Kathie Gunning and husband, Keith, of Turner, Peter Records of North Conway, N.H., and Scott Records and wife, Joanne, of Bar Harbor. Pat had 12 grandchildren: Deborah, Jennifer, Cathy, Jeremy, Shannon, Brandon, Brianne, Richelle, Katrina, William, Connor and Aaron; and 10 great-grandchildren: Aianna, Connor, Gannon, Jacob, Justin, Mason, Owen, Newcomb, Thomas and Sam.

She was predeceased by her late husband of 48 years in 1995; her beloved daughter, Roxanne, in 1973; and two brothers, Roger and Bruce Butler.
