LEWISTON — Kenneth I. Dyer Sr., 71, of Poland passed away May 10 at Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 14, 1947, a son of the late Frederick and Alice Mae (Carter) Dyer. Ken was educated in local schools and went on to serve in the U.S. Army.
After returning from the Army, Ken was a custodian until his retirement. Ken was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He spent many hours playing on his computer and was a member of the Mechanic Falls American Legion Post 150.
Ken is survived by his wife, Dee Dyer; daughters, Alice Dyer and Kimbly and her husband, Tony Lagasse; a son, Ken Dyer Jr. and his wife, Heidi. Ken is also survived by the mother to his children, Gloria; his brother, David; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Ken was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
