LEWISTON — Claudette B. Bilodeau, 78, of Lewiston died Sunday, May 13, at the home of her sister Yolande, with whom she had been residing for the last three and a half years.

Born in Lewiston on June 25, 1939, she was the youngest daughter of Maurice and Jeanne (Filion) Bilodeau. She attended St. Peter’s School and graduated from St. Dominic High School, Class of ’56.

She was employed as a secretary at St. Peter’s School for six years, then St. Peter’s Cemetery for 34 years and later at Catholic Charities Maine until her retirement in 2001. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and a communicant of Saints Peter and Paul Basilica and Holy Cross Church.

She is survived by her two sisters, Yolande Roy and Gisele Durocher; a brother, Julien Bilodeau, and his wife, Pauline; a sister-in-law, Laurette Bilodeau; 10 nieces and nephews; 21 grandnieces and grandnephews; and six great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She also leaves behind a most loyal and devoted best friend for more than 70 years, Marcelle Labbe.

She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Gerald R. Bilodeau.
