GREENE — James Robert Couture, 57, of Greene passed away in Greene on Friday, May 11. He was born in Lewiston on March 29, 1961, a son of the late Normand and Aline (Morrill) Couture.
He lived his entire life in the Lewiston-Auburn area, attended local schools, graduating from Lewiston High School. He was a retired pipefitter and a member of the Local 716 Pipefitters Union. He was later self-employed, working at his body shop.
James enjoyed working on cars, growing vegetables and spending time snowmobiling, four-wheeling and boating around Sabattus Lake with many friends and family. He had the talent of being able to fix anything that was broken and build anything that needed to be built.
James is survived by his two children Ryan Couture of Middleton, N.H., and Andrea Couture of Springvale; his two grandchildren Brendan and Reese Couture; and a niece and two nephews.
James was predeceased by his parents; and by his sister, Carol Williams; and brother, Michael Couture.
