Congressman Bruce Poliquin does not properly represent my district. He sides with Wall Street and other corporate cronies and refuses to meet with his constituents. He has voted for terrible budgets that cut health care coverage for millions (including children) and threaten Social Security.
Fortunately, there is a candidate who can beat Poliquin and represent the people of the 2nd Congressional District. His name is Jared Golden. He and his wife, Isobel, with whom I served on the Lewiston City Council, live in Lewiston. Jared has served two terms in the state Legislature representing Lewiston, his second term as assistant majority leader in the House.
He has also served in the Marines as an infantryman in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has been a champion on veterans’ issues, health care, minimum wage, restoration of rail service and tax fairness, especially for seniors.
I support Jared Golden in his bid for Congress.
