I work three jobs, six days a week (sometimes seven) and the ACA paved a road for me to access health insurance. I went a couple years without any heath care, as I was in the coverage gap. I work a dangerous job, lots of heavy lifting and work with chemicals, so I am grateful to have health insurance coverage just for the peace of mind. While I was uninsured, I put off routine tests and preventative care; who knows how much damage was done to my body during that time.

Rep. Bruce Poliquin aims to destroy crucial aspects of the ACA which will endanger the lives of Maine citizens. He is not working for us Mainers. Time for him to step down. Time for him to rework his resume.

I look forward to welcoming him back to the private sector he professes to admire so much.
