NEW GLOUCESTER — The Board of Selectmen on Monday approved soliciting bids for a dump truck, dump body/sand spreader and plow gear.
They also approved soliciting sealed bids for 21 portable air tanks for the Fire and Rescue Department.
The bids will be opened at 7 p.m. June 18.
The board tabled awarding a $79,647 contract for the Morse Road cistern in hopes of getting a price closer to the budgeted amount of $64,000.
Warrants were signed for the June 12 elections. Two selectmen for three-year terms and one school director are to be elected. The School Administrative District 15 budget validation will also be voted on that day.
Selectmen also unanimously proclaimed National Public Works Week and Emergency Medical Services Week for the town.
