FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Jean Boutin McQuade of Rumford passed away March 20, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Jean was born on July 8, 1926, in Boston, Mass. Jean was raised in Plymouth, Mass.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston University. There she met and married fellow student James Harold McQuade Sr. They settled in Rumford and had insurance and travel agencies throughout Maine. They had four children, Maureen and her partner, Roger Michaud, of The Villages, Fla., Joel of Rumford, James Jr. and his wife, Terry, of Silt, Colo., Michele and her husband, Bill Kelley, of Waterville; and two grandchildren, Ryan James of Sidney, Australia, and Sarah Joan of Silt, Colo.
Jean was predeceased by her husband and by her sister, Ruth Boutin Wagner of Plymouth, Mass.
Jean thoroughly enjoyed her longtime membership in the Searchlight Club of River Valley.
