WEST PARIS — The Arthur L. Mann Memorial Library is offering several programs this summer.

The Summer Reading Program is for readers and listeners up to age 17. Those who read six books (including one nonfiction) or listen to 18 books (including two nonfiction) will receive a $10 gift certificate of their choice from either the Tribune in Norway or Hannaford in Oxford and will also be entered in a drawing for a $25 gift certificate. Sign up at the library between Wednesday, June 27 and Wednesday, July 25. Completed book forms must be turned in by Friday, Aug. 24.

Story Time for toddlers through age 5 and their families takes place from 10 to 11 a.m. every Wednesday. Enjoy stories, snacks and an opportunity for crafts.

ReadME is a state-wide summer program sponsored by the Maine Humanities Council in Partnership with the Maine State Library that gets everyone reading the same books. This summer’s books, chosen by Maine’s own Paul Doiron, are “River Talk” by CB Anderson and “Settled in the Wild: Notes from the Edge of Town” by Susan Hand Shetterly. The library will have several copies of each title available for borrowing.

The Maine Wildlife Park Pass is available again this year to patrons. Those using the pass enjoy a discounted admission fee. This pass is a gift to the community from the Friends of the West Paris Library.

The library’s growing collection of STEM and other educational toys is always available for visitors to enjoy, along with coloring books for all ages and supplies for self-guided arts and crafts.

The library will also feature art exhibits sponsored by the Friends of The West Paris Library. Opening Sunday, June 10, is “A Brush of Serenity,” a display of the art of West Paris native, Beverly Smith Glines.
