TURNER — A Jay man was killed in an early-morning crash Thursday.
William Rodgers, 54, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Rodgers was driving south on Route 4 just after 1 a.m. when his 2014 Dodge Caravan collided with a 2011 Jeep Liberty driven by Christian J. Parlin, 23, of Livermore, Androscoggin County Chief Deputy William Gagne said.
Parlin was taken by Turner Rescue to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Maine State Police and Lewiston Police Department, who were conducting the reconstruction and forensic mapping.
The accident required a section of Route 4 to be closed for about four hours and traffic to be detoured down Mason Road.
