LEWISTON — Virginia L. Leslie, 69, of Lewiston died Sunday, May 20, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a brief illness.

The daughter of John and Louise Cassidy Leslie, she was born in South Bend, Ind., Sept. 22, 1948. She eventually moved to Lewiston and worked as a computer operator for a local bank.

Virginia went by “Ginger” to all who knew her. She enjoyed anything and everything to do with crafting, spending time with her BFFs, she was fond of watching Jeopardy!, cherished listening to music; she would go to the movies with her friends and one of her favorite places to shop was at Big Al’s.

Survivors include one brother, Micheal, and his wife, Gloria, of Laguna Woods, Calif.; two nephews, Douglas Leslie of Long Beach, Calif., and Christopher Leslie of Irvine, Calif.; two nieces, Maria Rake and husband, John, of Modesto, Calif., and Karen Leslie of Great Britain.

She also leaves behind her beloved best friends Jess Micheals, Cheryl Horton, Karen Haskell, Kathy Taylor and Asia Allen; along with her two very special cats. Leaving us with her favorite quote of all time: “Life is good. Notre Dame won.”
