I would like to thank Sen. Shenna Bellows for representing my community, Readfield, for the past two years.
Shenna is a tireless advocate for the neediest among us. Her focus on the uneven burden that property taxes place on community residents due to tax shifting from the state onto municipalities is welcome.
Serving the last two years in Augusta could not have been more challenging. Yet through it all Shenna remained focused on her constituents.
Whether spending time meeting with residents at our town hall or meeting and listening to people at events like our annual tree lighting and Veterans Day ceremonies, Shenna has been an empathetic presence in community.
The next two years carry the promise of new opportunity in Augusta. I know Shenna Bellows is ready to work hard for us and hope others join me in voting to reelect her to the Maine Senate.
Bruce Bourgoine, Readfield
