Free college planning workshops 

LEWISTON/AUBURN — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will be hosting free workshops, Essentials of College Planning, for adults 19 and older at the following times and locations:

• Central Maine Community College, TRIO Student Success Center, 1250 Turner St., on Thursday, June 28, at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.

• Lewiston Career Center, 5 Mollison Way, on Monday, July 2, at 9:30 and 11:30 a.m.

Stand Against Racism 

LEWISTON — The seventh annual Stand Against Racism will take place from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at the YWCA. Featured will be several students and activists leading movements for racial justice in Maine, speakers from the community and a question and answer period.

The event is free of charge and all are welcome. Childcare will be provided.

Corpus Christi Procession 

LEWISTON — In honor of the Feast of Corpus Christi (also known as the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ), Prince of Peace Parish will hold its annual Corpus Christi Procession.

It will begin at the conclusion of the 10:30 a.m. Mass Sunday, June 3, at the Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul on 122 Ash St. The procession will go down Ash Street, turn right on Blake Street, turn right on College Street, along Bartlett Street and conclude in the basilica chapel with Benediction.

For folks who have difficulties walking the procession there is an elevator from the church to the basilica chapel at the end of Mass where folks will join with the procession. In the event of rain, the procession will go directly from the church to the chapel.

Auburn Farmer’s Market to open

AUBURN — The City of Auburn has announced the return of the Auburn Farmer’s Market for the summer from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, June 5 through Oct. 2, in the Rolly’s Diner parking lot, 87 Mill St.
