BRUNSWICK — Coastal Humane Society is accepting registration for summer obedience classes, to be held at the administrative office, 190 Pleasant St.

Benefits to taking an obedience training class, according to the society, may include improved communication between pet and owner; pet socialization; tackling behavioral issues; and building pet confidence.

The cost is $100 for six classes, and all proceeds support the Coastal Humane Society’s animal welfare mission.

Puppy Kindergarten, for dogs ages two to eight months, start dates are:

• Saturday, June 16, 9:30-10:30 a.m.;

• Wednesday, June 27, 5:30-6:30 p.m.;

• Saturday, Aug. 11, 9:30-10:30 a.m.; and

• Wednesday, Aug. 22, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Manners I start dates are:

• Saturday, June 16, 11:30 a.m-12:30 p.m.;

• Wednesday, June 27, 7-8 p.m.;

• Saturday, Aug. 11, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; and

• Wednesday, Aug. 22, 7-8 p.m.

Manners II, which has a pre-requisite of Puppy Kindergarten or Manners I, start dates are:

• Saturday, June 16, 1:30.-2:30 p.m.;

• Thursday, June 28, 5:30-6:30 p.m.;

• Saturday, Aug. 11, 1:30-2:30 p.m.; and

• Thursday, August 23, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
