WEST PARIS — Karlene C. Bachelder, 90, of West Paris and formerly of Newry, died Tuesday, June 5, at the Ledgeview Living Center, West Paris.
She was born Feb. 24, 1928, in Stratton, the daughter of Frederick Carleton and Julia York, and attended Stratton Schools.
Karlene was married in Kingfield on June 15, 1944, to Reginald C. “Ras” Bachelder, who died Nov. 21, 2004.
Survivors include daughters Claire Romano and husband, George, of Sanford and Heidi Littlefield of Stoneham; sons Donald Bachelder and wife, Lynne, of Stantonsburg, N.C., Aaron Bachelder and wife, Melodie, of Hickory, N.C., and Brent Bachelder and partner, Peter Haraty, of Rumford; many grandchildren great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
