LEEDS — Jennifer Lynn Gurney, 50, a resident of Leeds, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, June 8, at her home.
She was born Feb. 5, 1968, in Lewiston, the daughter of Kenneth Strout and Joanne (Burgess) Strout. Jennifer was a 1986 graduate of Leavitt High School in Turner.
On Aug. 24, 1996, in Leeds, she married Irwin “Chuck” Gurney of Poland. She worked for Androscoggin Home Healthcare until a work related injury in 1998. She was a member of the Leeds Nazarene Church. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her daughter and grandson Mathieu, as well as her other grandchildren.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Irwin “Chuck” Gurney, her mother, Joanne Addison, and daughter, Brittany Gurney, all of Leeds; stepsons Ian and Stephen Gurney, and stepdaughter, Amanda Gurney, all of Poland; five grandchildren, Mathieu, Mariyah, Liam, Miley and Grayson; her brother, Robert Addison, and wife, Bonnie, of Leeds; sisters Stefanie Jensen and husband, Peter, of Kingfield, and Trisha McDowell and husband, Brian, of Greene; nieces and nephews Joshua, Tyler, Garrett, Cadence and Killian.
She was predeceased by her father, Kenneth Strout, and her dad, Robert Addison.
