KINGFIELD — A dump truck snagged utility wires and rolled over Monday near Tufts Pond Road and Route 27, according to Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr.

No one was injured, Nichols said.

Gilbert Taylor, 69, of North New Portland was driving east on Tufts Pond Road, approaching the Route 27 intersection, when the raised dump body caught the lines, causing the rollover, Nichols said Tuesday.

The truck is registered to GR Taylor & Sons of New Portland.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputy David Davol and Deputy Keith Madore responded to the 11:32 a.m. accident.

Trooper Jed Malcore of the Maine State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit assisted with the investigation.
