BOWDOINHAM — Richard J. “Dick” Rose of Bowdoinham passed away at his camp over Memorial Day weekend.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Rose Brown, her husband, James Brown, stepdaughter, Amy Arthur and her husband, Wayne Arthur, and Amy’s mother, Deborah Rose; grandchildren Parker and Emily Brown and Jack and Caroline Arthur; brother, William Rose, his wife Jacqueline, nephew, Michael and wife, Katherine, their children Nicholas and Loren, niece, Donna and husband, Norman, their children Brianna and Michael, nephew, Gregory and wife, Holly and their children Gianna and Garrett; and brother, Thomas Rose, and wife, Nancy, and niece, Kate.
Dick grew up in Keene, N.H., and lived in Maine most of his adult life. He resided most recently in his beloved community of Bowdoinham,, where he embraced life, the culture and spirit of its small community.
A veteran, registered Maine Guide and avid outdoorsman, Dick loved being on a boat with a line in the water, walking a trail and telling a story or two.
