CANTON — Selectman Don Hutchins received 170 votes Tuesday in his bid for another term on the Board of Selectmen, according to interim Administrative Assistant Kathy Walker.

Hutchins, who ran unopposed, will serve a three-year term.

Voters also supported Carl Lueders in his unopposed bid for a three-year term on the Regional School Unit 56 board of directors. Lueders, who received 187 votes, succeeds Anne Chamberlin, who chose against seeking re-election.

Voters also wrote in the names of candidates to fill two vacant, five-year seats on the Planning Board. Walker said the write-in candidates must be contacted to determine if they will accept the positions.

The Planning Board seats were held by Tom Adley, who resigned, and Doleen Goodrow-Boyce, who died.
