FARMINGTON — Two people were injured Thursday morning when two SUVs collided on Wilton Road, police said.
Amber Durrell, 40, of New Sharon was crossing Wilton Road — from Knowlton Corner Road to Red Schoolhouse Road — when her vehicle and that of Walter Howard, 84, of Farmington collided on Wilton Road, officer Darin Gilbert said.
Howard and his passenger, Jean Smith, 75, of Wilton, complained of chest pain and were taken by a NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.
Durrell held a dog from Howard’s vehicle while Howard and Smith were being cared for by NorthStar personnel.
Farmington Fire Rescue Department cleaned up leaking fluids and assisted with traffic control. Gilbert was assisted by Officer Jesse Clement.
