RUMFORD — Linda J. Taylor, 64, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 14, at her home, with her husband and daughter by her side.

Linda was born Dec. 26, 1953, in Berlin, N.H., the daughter of Leo and Doris (Merrill) Taylor, and grew up in Rumford. Linda was a graduate of Stephens High School In Rumford, Class of 1972.

Before retiring in 2012 she excelled in many administrative and management roles. Most recent to retirement, she was employed by Western Maine Transportation and the Greater Rumford Community Center.

Linda loved being outside taking in the beauty of nature, walks on the beach in Florida and summers in New England. She loved her devoted sidekick, a Yorkipoo named Trisket. She was an avid crafter and creative spirit. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and was always up for an adventure. Linda was a proud, loving and involved wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished every moment with her family.

Linda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas C. Ellingwood; daughter, Tricia Becker; son-in-law, Jim Becker; grandson, Ben Becker; stepmother, Noella Taylor; sister, Diana Ronan; brothers Richard Taylor, James Taylor, John Taylor, Marc Taylor, Glen Taylor; along with many dear sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Leo Taylor; mother, Doris Taylor; brothers Robert and Thomas Taylor.
