LEWISTON — Central Maine Christian Academy recently held its graduation ceremony at Pathway Vineyard Church.

The graduates are: Joshua Bernier of Sabattus, son of Jeff and Dottie Bernier; Francis Bruno of Turner, son of Nicholas and Sally Bruno; Arthur Gagnon of Lewiston, son of Roger and Lori Gagnon; Rileigh Landry of Lewiston, daughter of Jason and Kathy Landry; Nathan Penley of Greene, son of Troy and Becky Penley; Marissa Petrulli of Lewiston, daughter of Frank Petrulli and Elena Yanez; Joshua Pietrowicz of Lewiston, son of Jim Pietrowicz and Thereasa Brillant; Benaiah Said of Livermore, son of Matthew and Joanna Said; Seth VanDeursen of Lewiston, son of Kevin and Carol VanDeursen; Meti Violette Taylor of Lewiston, daughter of Bethany and Joshua Taylor; and Stephen Wardwell of Poland, son of George and Cynthia Wardwell.

Administrator Patricia St. Hilaire gave the invocation and teacher Mike Nyberg gave the opening prayer. The academy chorus sang.

A favorite chapel speaker, Bobby Morissette, gave the commencement address titled “What’s Love Got to do With It?” He challenged the seniors to share Christ’s love with the world.

Nyberg read tributes to the seniors written by other high school students. It was followed by a video presentation, “This is Your Life,” in which pictures of the seniors’ lives were viewed.

The diplomas were awarded by St. Hilaire, board member David St. Hilaire and members of the school staff.

Following the graduation ceremony, relatives and friends joined the graduates and their parents in a receiving line.
