AUGUSTA — The Maine Bureau of Veterans’ Services announced that starting July 1, Maine veterans may access the Maine State Museum in Augusta free of charge upon showing their Maine Resident Lifetime Veteran Park Pass.
While the current $3 admission fee may seem nominal, many veterans find themselves living on fixed incomes. Allowing veterans free access to the museum is a small gesture of gratitude for a population who have sacrificed greatly.
Park pass applications may be found on the Bureau’s website, www.maine.gov/veterans/benefits. For more information contact Melissa Willette at (207) 430-6004.
