PARIS — Paris Public Library’s Novel Idea Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, to discuss the 1996 Newbery Medal historical novel, “The Midwife’s Apprentice” by Karen Cushman.
The setting is a small village in Medieval England. A homeless young girl, cold and hungry, finds work as a midwife’s apprentice to a sharp-tempered midwife.
New members are always welcome to join the club, both adults and young adults. The group meets at 6:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month.
