Mr. Drew show at LPL

LEWISTON — Mr. Drew and His Animals Too! will present an entertaining and educational show at the Lewiston Public Library at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14. There is no cost.

Using animals he has rescued and rehabilitated, Mr. Drew brings “hands-on” experience and family fun for all ages.

Advance tickets are available now in the Children’s Library on the third floor of the library. Those with advance tickets will be the first to get into the show in Callahan Hall, also on the third floor.

Blood drive planned in Lisbon

LISBON — The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at the Lisbon United Methodist Church, 14 School St.

Donors may sign up to donate at the booth during Moxie Days on Saturday, July 14, or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS to schedule an appointment and mentioning the church. For more information, call 207-353-4348.

Age-Friendly Community meeting

AUBURN — Auburn residents ages 50 and older will meet to brainstorm for Age-Friendly Community, will take place at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at the Senior Center in Pettengill Park.

Anyone interested in contributing to the group is welcome to attend. The focus of the meetings is to find ways to make the community more healthy, convenient, leisurely and “livable” for people of all ages. Ideas and suggestions will be welcome.

Museum LA craft camp

LEWISTON — Museum L-A will host the first Craft Adventures Day Camp from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, at 35 Canal St.

The camp features multiple take-home craft activities, guided museum tours, hands-on learning, and games for children ages 8 to 13. The $55 per child program fee includes lunch

Food pantry seeks donations

AUBURN — The High Street Congregational Church Food Pantry has ongoing needs for the following items: peanut butter, canned vegetables, soup, canned pasta, canned meats, canned fruit, dry cereal, baking items, soup, crackers and toilet paper.

Auburn United Methodist Church collects items for the pantry. Donations may be brought to 439 Park Ave.
