AUBURN — Florence A. Blouin, 80, of Lewiston died July 8 after complications from a long battle with Inclusive Body Myositis. She was born in Hartford, Conn., on Aug. 30, 1937, and attended schools in Hartford, central Missouri and Lewiston.

She was proud to be a homemaker while her children were growing up. After her family was grown, she volunteered for the Maine Music Society and Lewiston Chamber of Commerce. She had been employed in the loan department of the former People’s Heritage Bank, and then finished her career in the craft department at Marden’s.

She loved gardening, painting, puzzles, traveling, and spending time with family. She was very pleased to have taken trips with “her girls” to Washington, D.C., Canada and Disney.

Survivors include three daughters: Debbra Beauchesne and husband, Paul, of Sabattus; Edith Benner of South Thomaston; and Kathryn Anctil and husband, Michael, of Monmouth; one brother, James Begin, and partner, Pam, of Waterville; seven grandchildren: Eric Beauchesne and wife, Cynthia; Barry Beauchesne and wife, Kristine; Debbra Pinard and husband, Dave; Stephen Blouin II and partner, Dawn; Jonathan Benner and wife, Meghan; David Benner; and Sarah Lashua; as well as nine great-grandchildren: Lily and Belle Beauchesne, Chloe and Isaac Beauchesne, Sadie and Dustin Chapman, Gabby, Jenny and Lesley Pinard.

She was predeceased by one son, Stephen Blouin; her mother; Edith Brock; and her grandmother, Ruth Noonan, who was like a mother to her.
