LEWISTON — Jeannine Joline Houdlette, age 81, died at her daughter Kathy Jalbert’s home after a long battle with lung cancer.
She was born April 6, 1937, in Lewiston to Willie and Doria (Roy) St. Laurent. She lived many years in Sabattus, and finally settled in Gardiner with her husband, Erwin.
Ill health and failing body forced her to move back to Lewiston to live with her daughter in 2016.
She worked constantly in her long life, but loved her family the most and enjoyed being an RN.
Survivors include her children: Linda Mihalaki, Diane Gauthier, Kathy Jalbert, Tammy Vashon, Richard Pearce, Gary Pearce, Daniel Pearce and Robert Pearce; one sister, Jeannette Marquis. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Erwin Houdlette.
