AUBURN — Mary E. Rose, 72, of North Turner, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, July 10, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, with her loving family by her side.
She was born Oct. 25, 1945, in Lewiston, the daughter of Bruce Smith and Viola McGlinchey. She attended Leavitt Institute in Turner. In 1962, she married Robert Rose and they had three daughters together. Mary enjoyed staying at home and caring for her children. She loved miniature ponies, camping and going to the casino and the county fairs.
She is survived by her companion, Eric Quimby, of North Turner; her daughters Rita Rose, Bertha Rose and her companion, Mike Knox, and Bobbi Birney and her husband, Brad, all of North Turner; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters Marilyn Chamberlain, Ann Morris and Bertha Smith; and her brothers Ashley, Bruce and Richard Smith.
