Will Kannegieser shot a two-round score of 137 in a qualifying tournament Monday to secure his spot in the United States Amateur Championship next month.

The Minot native followed up his first-round 72 (1-over) with a 65 in the second round of the one-day qualifier at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Massachusetts, earning Kannegieser medalist honors.
