ARLINGTON, Va. — Anne M. Young, 98, a native of Rumford-Mexico, passed peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, July 11, at Culpepper Assisted Living in Arlington, Va., where she has resided since 2003.
Anne was the last living of 10 Bernard siblings of John and Margaret. She was the lovely, multi-talented wife of Norman Young, who passed in 2001. Anne was a Mainer forever who loved skiing, sailing, gardening, opera, exploring and caring for and entertaining five grandchildren and her many nieces and nephews at her Worthley Pond camp. She made good friends in Germany, Algeria and Tunisia, and in Florida where she lived after moving from 506 Pine St. in Rumford.
Anne is survived by her twins, Dot of Virginia and Don of Dixfield; and daughter Brenda of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
