CANTON — The Canton Bicentennial Committee will host a Margarita Summer Party from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at the town boat launch off Route 108 in the village. It is free and open to the public.

The party will feature a taco bar by Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant in Auburn, with a selection of beef or chicken tacos and all the fixings, including homemade guacamole, for purchase. A cash bar will serve beer, wine and Cantonian Margaritas, and free chips and salsa. Free soft drinks for Designated Drivers served courtesy of Pepsi.

IDs will be required to make purchases at the cash bar. No outside beverages will be allowed at the venue.

The town will commemorate its 200th birthday in August 2021 with a weekend-long celebration, including a parade, fireworks, a street dance, a firemen’s muster, musical entertainment, historical demonstrations, games and food. Proceeds from Saturday’s party will be used for the celebration.
