Connor Gooley, grandson of former state Sen. Walter Gooley of Farmington, was an honorary page for the state Senate on July 9. Connor was the inspiration for an “An Act To Increase Safety on a Youth Hunting Day for Hunting Bear by Allowing an Accompanying Adult To Possess a Firearm.” It became law in April.
