Before he was elected to the Maine Senate, I had met Eric Brakey and was familiar with the principles that he believed in. Once he entered the Senate, I happily watched as he worked steadfastly for the people of Maine. He has demonstrated the important quality of being able to work graciously with colleagues on both sides of the aisle, while still refusing to compromise on his principles.
As I watched him hand out miniature American flags to our smallest citizens during this year’s Moxie Parade, I thought of how fortunate people would be as Mainers to have his voice representing them in the U.S. Senate. He is the young blood Mainers need, who has proven himself and who will fight to protect this nation from its ever-impending debt crisis.
I will be proud to vote for Eric Brakey this November to represent the Dirigo state.
