WAYNE — Cary Memorial Library will hold a loon-themed event on Saturday, Aug. 4.

9 a.m.: Annual Cary Memorial Library 5K Walk/Run, staring at the elementary school.

10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Wide selection of home baked food, local crafts and ornaments, gently used books, collectibles and loon cookies.

10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Raffle of queen-size quilt made by local quilters, children’s crafts and music.

11 a.m.: Loon calling contest for all ages with prizes for age-related categories.

11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Lobster roll lunch with chips, pickles, drinks and homemade blueberry cake. Option of chicken salad roll/or plate and a children’s option of peanut butter and jelly. Lunches to go available.

In case of rain, events will be held in Fellowship Hall of the Wayne Community Church.
