STRONG — A situation ended safely Tuesday after a male threatened employees and others in the Strong Area Health Center.
Maine State Police Troop C Sgt. Peter Michaud said a threatening telephone call was reported at 11:30 a.m.
State Police troopers and deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office responded.
“We were able to detain an individual on the Gilkey Hill Road in Freeman Township. The male was transported at 2:20 p.m. by State Police to a local hospital where he received medical attention,” Michaud said. “There were no reported injuries.”
Charges are possible pending consultation with the Farmington District Attorney’s office, according to police.
