POLAND — Herbert Albert Edwards Sr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 8, 2018, after a very long illness. He was born in Poland on Dec. 4, 1948, a son of Maurice and Avis Verrill Edwards.
Herbert was a proud U.S. Marine and served in Vietnam. His motto was “Once a Marine, Always a Marine.” He worked as a logger his entire working life until his illness prevented him from continuing on. His family was the most important thing in his life.
Herbert is survived by his wife of 47 years, Juanita Edwards; his daughter, Jennifer Edwards-Smith, and her husband, Corey; three sons: Herbert Edwards Jr., Michael Edwards and Patrick Bachman and his wife, Sara; his mother, Avis Edwards; four brothers: Dale Verrill; Maurice Edwards and his wife, Debbie; Mark Edwards; and Wayne Edwards and his wife, Heather; five granddaughters: Christina Douglass and her husband, Troy; Hannah Sawyer; Jillian Sawyer; Sara Edwards; and Lily Bachman; his grandson, Eli Bachman; and his sister-in-law, Jenny Edwards.
He was predeceased by his father and by two brothers: Irwin and Sidney Edwards.
