An avid sports fan, she loved to watch Boston sports teams, the Atlanta Braves and NASCAR racing.

Jean is survived by her children: Neil Levesque and his wife, Becky, of Bradenton, Florida; Lauri Bessey and her husband, Mark, of Brownsville, Vermont; and Eric Levesque. Jean is survived by four grandchildren: Scott Levesque, Sarah Levesque, Lindsey DeWeese and Darin Levesque. She is survived by six of her seven siblings: Kenneth (Bud) Stevens, William Stevens Sr., Bruce Stevens, Glen Stevens, Joyce Bowie and Beryl Knox. She was predeceased by her sister Elaine Caron.

She was closely socialized with many nieces, nephews, cousins and special lifelong friends, including Helen Card and Dot Carroll, with whom she spoke on the phone daily. Her family and friends knew of her fiercely independent nature.
