AUBURN — The final performances of the Community Little Theatre (CLT) production of the musical comedy “Young Frankenstein” will be held this weekend, Aug. 16-19, at the Great Falls Performing Arts Center.

While closely based on the 1974 film of the same name written by Brooks and Gene Wilder and directed by Brooks, the “Young Frankenstein” musical includes several original songs, including “Roll in the Hay,” “Transylvania Mania,” “Together Again” and “Please Don’t Touch Me.” The show follows Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, who inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania. With the help of a hunchbacked sidekick, Igor, and lab assistant Inga, Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his late grandfather. He brings to life a creature who then escapes and terrifies the residents of Transylvania. Musical hilarity ensues.

Remaining performances will be held Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. For more information, call 783-0958, visit the website at www.laclt.com, or Community Little Theatre on Facebook.
