LIVERMORE FALLS — Jennifer Beth (Dawes) Gomm, 42, a resident of Livermore Falls, was taken away by the angels Tuesday morning, Aug. 14, at her home. She was born March 23, 1976, in Lewiston, the daughter of Robert Dawes and Lucy (Poland) Dawes.

Jenn attended school in Livermore Falls and then graduated from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1994. She participated in field hockey and cheering. Her beautiful daughter, Mykayla, was born Jan. 11, 1997, and she loved her with her whole heart from the very first moment she laid her eyes on her. On March 22, 2002, she married the love of her life, Lance Gomm. In 2012, they renewed their vows and celebrated with their loving family and friends. They were a special couple who loved each other with everything they had.

She was currently employed as an assistant program manager at Geiger Brothers in Lewiston, and previously worked for C.N. Brown in Lewiston and Dead River Co. in Bangor. Over the years, she absolutely loved attending dance recitals for her talented daughter, Mykayla. Jenn dedicated a lot of her time over the past seven years to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation in memory of her brother, Eric Dawes, who passed away Aug. 28, 2011. The last few months, Jenn and her family had dress sales and fashion shows to raise money for the cause.

She was a great friend to many and always made everyone laugh. She was smart, confident, dedicated and unbelievably hardworking. She was a vibrant young woman who was never afraid to show her emotions. She was very kind to everyone and was thought of as a “Bright Shining Star.” She will be missed greatly by her husband and his family, her daughter, her dear parents, her loving family and her many close friends.

She is survived by her husband, Lance Gomm, and his family; her parents Robert and Lucy Dawes; her daughter, Mykayla Dawes; many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and her beloved dogs Shelby and Lila.

She was predeceased by her grandparents Henry and Arlene Poland and Wilfred and Margaret Dawes; her brother, Eric Dawes; her mother-in-law, Joan Gomm; and her brother-in-law, Dwayne T. Murphy.
