BRYANT POND — The 2018 Becoming an Outdoors Woman Introductory Skills Weekend is slated for October 5 to 7 at the University of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center at Bryant Pond, and registration is now open.
The Becoming an Outdoors Woman program offers workshops for women 18 and older to gain or improve skills in activities related to hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation. The workshops offer a safe and comfortable environment for beginners to learn and make new friends.
The three-day Intro Skills Weekend allows participants to complete sessions in topics of their choosing ranging from shooting sports, paddling, fly casting, fishing, fly tying, ATVing, wilderness first-aid, homesteading, map and compass and more.
The cost to attend is $230, which includes food, lodging, materials, equipment and instruction. Register at tinyurl.com/y7jzyvvw.
