LEWISTON — Laureat “Larry” E. LaFrance, 93, a resident of Acadia Avenue, passed away peacefully Saturday, Aug. 18, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion with family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on Jan. 3, 1925, the son of Joseph and Bernadette (Cinqmais) Lafrance.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the European Theater from 1943-1945 during World War II.

Following the war, he met and married the former Cecile Roux on Jan. 11, 1947.

Besides his wife, Cecile, he was predeceased by one brother, Henry LaFrance, and one sister, Grace Bachand.
